Choosing a school for your child is one of the most important decisions you'll make.
Most likely, you've chosen to visit this Web site because you have questions: What kind of school is Wisconsin International School (WIS)? Is a private independent school the right choice for my student? How does WIS compare to other private schools in Northeast Wisconsin area? How do I apply? What are the costs?
WIS is an independent, college preparatory pre-K through 8th grade school, which will open in the fall of 2008 in West De Pere. Offering an age-appropriate, rigorous curriculum, WIS will develop leaders, inspire active learning and instill the principles of responsible global citizenship. Students will master skills in English, language arts, mathematics, science, history, social sciences, Spanish and Mandarin, physical education and fine arts.
WIS seeks students from diverse socioeconomic, ethnic, linguistic and national backgrounds who will benefit from the challenging academic program and who will contribute to the life of the school. Qualified students are admitted at all grade levels, class size permitting. Students of all linguistic backgrounds are considered for admission, although students should be proficient in English.
WIS is the only independently operated school with no religious affiliation in Brown County welcoming students of all ethnic, racial, religious and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Welcome Message
from Head of School
Stanley W. Way
I would love to share with you more about what an exceptional choice Wisconsin International School (WIS) will be for your children’s education. As parents, we must recognize that each of our children has many talents, unique interests and varied educational needs. Finding a school that matches our children's needs is a critical choice for parents. WIS will bring together caring, engaged teachers and staff, an unmatched curriculum, and a special vision to create Brown County's first independent school.
With our small class size, our teachers will get to know your children very well. Beyond imparting their academic skills, our teachers will engage your children in fostering the growth of each one as a whole person. As independent school educators, our expectations will stretch and challenge each individual to his or her best. Additionally, we will model integrity, compassion, service, and caring, values that will be both explicit and implicit in our school. In sum, our teachers are committed and will make a difference.
