Students will need to follow a daily practice and listening routine. This will start at 15 minutes a day and grow to 30 minutes as the student progresses.
How should we obtain an instrument?
Parents should not obtain an instrument until their child is registered in the program. The instructors will guide you in making a purchase or rental decision.
Is my Kindergartener able to take lessons?
Junior kindergarten and kindergarten students may be assessed by a music instructor to determine their readiness. Parents will be required to attend lessons with their junior kindergarten and kindergarten children.
Will there be ensemble opportunities?
Instrumental group classes will be included in the program and will be based on the skill level of enrolled students. Group class is only open to students enrolled in private lessons.
What if my child already studies an instrument?
Your child is welcome to continue study with any teacher, but you should communicate with the instructors to determine which general music projects and/or ensemble opportunities would be appropriate.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the instructors. We would be happy to help you in any way we can!
