My Birthday is October 24.
My family includes my husband Jon, my daughter Lila and my son Liam, who both attend WIS.
I received a BS in Elementary Education from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.

My Teaching Philosophy:
I believe all children need a loving and nurturing environment, in which they feel comfortable and safe, in order to learn and grow. I feel it is important to provide children with opportunities to become independent and self-motivated learners. I plan lessons in order to meet the specific needs of each individual child. In doing so, I am able to help them reach their full potential. I believe it is important for children to learn about the world, outside of their own community. I enjoy helping them appreciate the diversity and differences in the world. I strive to instill a love of learning in every student, in order to ensure future success in school.

Living in Wisconsin, I truly cherish the warmth of summer. Summer doesn't last long enough for me. I try to take advantage of every warm day by being outside; gardening, going for walks or being in the water.

Great places I have visited: London, Paris, Prague, Mexico, Italy, the Caribbean (various locations) and various cities throughout the U.S.
An interesting tidbit about me: After college I spent time in Italy, traveling and studying the language. It was a tremendous learning and growing experience for me. I had such a fantastic time learning about the culture, trying the food and meeting new people. I have been back to Italy three times since and hope to return again soon.
