My Teaching Philosophy:
'Education is the lighting of a fire, not the filling of a bucket.' I'm passionate about reading, writing, and self-expression and want to convey this enthusiasm to my students so they are empowered to be lifelong learners because they love what they do. I also want them to question the written word and articulate their own point of view. This comes from showing them 'how' to read and write not simply memorizing text.
